PIKTES

The Provincial Coordination Teams Information and Evaluation Meeting, organized within the scope of the Promoting Inclusive Education for Kids in the Turkish Education System Project (PIKTES IV), commenced on 17 August 2026 in Erzurum, with the participation of Mr. Cihan Kıvanç, Head of the Department of Migration, Social Cohesion and Projects at the Directorate General for Lifelong Learning and Project Director of PIKTES, and Deputy Project Directors.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Kıvanç noted that the PIKTES Project is an exemplary project with a tangible impact in the field, owing to its structure that encompasses families, schools, and the civil administration. In this regard, he stated that a high-quality education model is being implemented to ensure children’s access to quality education. Mr. Kıvanç also stated that comprehensive updates have been made to the project's overall structure to enhance its sustainability and effectiveness in the field. He further noted that efforts are being carried out to strengthen administrative capacity, enhance coordination among units, and ensure the more efficient implementation of the project in line with its vision.

Following the opening session, Deputy Project Director Doğan Onur Köksal delivered a presentation on the activities carried out under PIKTES IV. The opening programme concluded as the participants proceeded to the meeting rooms.
